February – March

In this month we will put down a starter fertiliser, this will help the grass to get on its way, but keeping the growth low enough in case we get any frosts.

If moss is present we can apply a liquid moss killer straight after this application.

This will give an 8-12 week longevity.

If needed we can scarify the dead moss out between this and the following application of fertiliser, then reapply the moss killer treatment.

April

The grass should be growing with the temperature on the up. We apply and fertiliser that has a nice balance of Nitrogen, Phosphorous & Potassium. There is also a little bit of Iron to help green up the lawn.

The longevity of the application is 8-12 weeks.

June 

The growth of the lawn should have slowed down in the previous month, however, we are now going to prepare the lawn for another growing peak. In this fertiliser we will apply a fertiliser that will help aid the growth at a steady speed,which will also give a nice deep green colour. We will add a bit of potassium to help with root development and helps to maintain a healthy strong sward, which will also help in drought conditions but, If available water when necessary.

The longevity is 8-12 weeks.

August

We are now preparing the lawn for the main growing period, which leads on to winter. We apply a fertiliser that helps encourage a nice lush green lawn while giving the roots a strong boost to help the lawn survive through the winter months. This also has 20% of organic content.

The longevity is 16-20 weeks.

Additional Applications: (extremely wet weather) 

We think the above works well in the lawns we apply them to.

However, with the consent change of weather, A fifth application may be needed. We would apply a liquid feed with a balance of nutrients with the trace elements included

We will normally access the lawn for weeds before an application in April and deal with it as we see fit, but if it needs an application of a weed killer we will quote accordingly and inform you beforehand.
